Social Issues

This section introduces the social characteristics, conditions and trends affecting water resource sustainability in the Palouse Basin. Components of the social framework include socio-cultural, economic and political conditions of the area. The integrated use of social information with scientific data regarding the natural system will allow for development of an ecosystem framework and action plan to provide a foundation for facilitating sustainable management of the area's water resource.
